Bagista Ltd are recruiting for a highly skilled, trusted and experienced Accounts Assistant to join the Finance Team as an Accounts Assistant, covering all aspects including accounts payable, VAT returns and Corporation Tax returns.
Your main duties and responsibilities as an Accounts Assistant will be:
- Bank reconciliations
- Acting as an accounts payable
- Process daily sales administration and maintain the sales ledger
- Listing and checking all transactions on internal software (Xero).
- Personally responsible for monitoring all business utility bills for the business.
- Checking and processing staff expenses.
- Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns for the business.
- Assisting in the preparation of Corporate Tax returns for the business.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as they arise
- Attend and contribute to Finance team meetings
As an ideal Accounts Assistant, you will meet the requirements below:
- Previous accounts or finance experience
- Have strong organisation and communication skills, written and verbal.
- You are very competent using Microsoft Excel.
- Ideally some experience in using Xero.
- You are comfortable within a high pressure environment with deadlines.
- You have a proven track record with skills transferable to said role.
- You are AAT qualified or working towards an ACA/ACCA qualification.
- You must be fully eligible to work in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
Salary:
£30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
