As Communities Manager, you will be responsible for defining and running RCOT's collaboration offer for members. Members of their occupational therapy community share a passion for sharing, collaborating and learning from each other.

Description
As Communities Manager, you'll be responsible for defining and running the collaboration offer for members. Members of RCOT occupational therapy community share a passion for sharing, collaborating and learning from each other.

You'll be instrumental inensuring that RCOT have dynamic and contemporary mechanisms for members to engage with each other that meets their needs to be part of a vibrant and thriving occupational therapy community.

You'll help with the transition to a digital offering for membersto engage virtually.

  • To have strategic oversight of networking offer for members and adopt continuous improvement principles.
  • To have specific responsibility for the development and growth of peer support networks
  • Work with occupational therapy members to create attractive new online communities, increasing engagement, and providing increased member value.
  • Be sensitive to change, listening and learning from members and supporting the transition to improved engagement opportunities for the whole membership.
  • Create and manage project plans relating to the purpose of the role.
  • Work with technical support to develop and run of the new community groups for RCOT members and ensuring that appropriate governance is maintained
  • Work with the CPD team to embed learning opportunities within communities and their activities.
  • Work with the Head of Communities and Connections to drive forward the Volunteer Engagement Strategy to increase the number of volunteers and ambassadors for the organisation.
  • Provide line management to the two Engagement Officers for communities and representatives.
  • Run key meetings within branch representatives for updates, problem solving and support.
  • Data driven for analysis of member engagement and performance reporting.
  • Coach colleagues to take ownership of their career development, offering support and guidance as needed

Profile
You will have sound emotional intelligence with the ability to maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Great interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanour that generates trust and confidence in a wide range of audiences.

Be comfortable with digital technologies and digital platforms, adapting and learning quickly with the ability to teach others.

Be member focused in your approach to your role and have a clear passion for working with people.

An ability to empathise with the community and connection needs of occupational therapy communities

Ability to handle conflict / remaining calm under pressure / resolution focused.

Strong organisational skills.

Sound analytical interpretation and presentation skills.

Ability to respond and work at pace.

Demonstrated leadership experience in member engagement.

A solutions-driven and practical ability to create or adapt strategies to suit the situation.

The ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders from start to finish.

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including presentation and report-writing skills.

Ability to work as part of a team and to collaborate effectively to provide matrix leadership and thought leadership.

An enthusiasm to live and model the RCOT values across all areas of work

A demonstrable passion for embedding environmental sustainability principles across all areas of work.

High levels of self-motivation, enthusiasm and passion for the professional field you represent.
