We have an excellent opportunity for an organized person with kitchen management skills.Experience in large scale catering, preferably within NHS would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
You should have the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Good communication skills are essential.The main kitchen at University Hospital Crosshouse provides in excess of 1800 patients prepared and cooked meals every day, including therapeutic diets to patients, as well as meal services for the staff and the public.
In addition, we cater for and provide hospitality for meetings and functions.Your duties will include working within the main Dining room and Café areas within Crossshouse Hospital. Cash handling and working credit card facility would be advantageous.
General catering duties, and always maintaining a high standard of hygiene, recording and monitoring data for HACCP and Environmental Health.
**Shift pattern 7 days on/7days off 14.75 per week** /0 weekdays
1 /30 weekends**,
however applicants who wish to be considered must be available to cover all shifts within the department between the hours of 7.00am - 8.45pm which may include Sat/Sun to cover staff leave.
