Part-time Governance Coordinator - London, United Kingdom - Our Future Health
Description
We are looking for a part-time Governance Coordinator who will play a fundamental role in supporting the Governance Manager in all elements of our governance and advisory structure to the highest standards and will play a part in ensuring that good governance practices are embedded within the organisation.
Our Future Health will be the UK's largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent and treat diseases.
Our plan is to bring together 5 million volunteers from right across the UK who will be asked to contribute information to help build one of the most detailed pictures we have ever had of people's health.
What you'll be doing
In this role, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Schedule regular meetings (in person and online) for Boards and Committees and other ad hoc meetings as required, ensuring that all logístical arrangements are in place.
- Work with the Governance Manager to obtain, collate and circulate papers for meetings and ensure that they are appropriately stored and accessible.
- Maintain a record of attendance at meetings.
- Obtain and store relevant information about individual Board and Committee members and maintain a single database of key information.
- Ensure that Board and Committee member reappointments are brought forward for consideration in a timely way.
- Maintain registers of external interests.
- Maintain and regularly share a schedule of Board and Committee members and meeting dates.
- Update the governance pages on the website and intranet.
- Prepare the weekly news digest for Board and Committee members.
Requirements:
To succeed, you will have some of the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience within administration, coordination.
- Ability to make independent and pragmatic judgements and triage or respond to them accordingly in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Selfmotivated, detailoriented, and able to manage time well, plan and prioritise effectively and handle multiple deadlines.
- Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to change and take initiative where appropriate.
- Competent with software programmes including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A passion for making a global impact on healthcare and research.
