You will also have responsibility for supporting the day-to-day running of the Youth Hub including coordination of its services and ensuring it is a safe, fun, and resourceful place for our Youth Partners.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a partnership strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive plan to identify, approach, and establish partnerships with employers from a variety of industries and sectors.
  • Maintain and nurture existing partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, businesses, and organizations through regular communication, meetings, and networking events.
  • Serve as a liaison: Function as the main point of contact between YBV and its employer partners, ensuring effective communication and coordination of mutually beneficial activities.
  • Identify and assess employment needs: Understand the specific workforce requirements of employer partners and collaborate with both Opportunity Space and YB100 teams to assess Youth Partners' skills and match them with appropriate employment opportunities.
  • Facilitate job placements: Coordinate and facilitate job fairs, networking events, and job placement activities in collaboration with employer partners and Youth Partners.
  • Engender a welcoming, engaging, and inclusive environment that Youth Partners enjoy attending and that reflects YBVs core values.
  • Provide mentoring and one2one support to Youth Partners
  • Manage a triage system to ensure Youth Partners needs are effectively assessed and organizations are identified to support them with their differing needs. Ensure that each has a detailed action plan which leads them to a positive destination.
  • Work closely with our main partner DWP and their staff to ensure services are coordinated and all case information is shared adequately and appropriately.
  • Coordinate and promote an ongoing and varied programme of employability activities, sessions and events to support Youth Partners to improve their employment prospects.
  • Maintain promotional materials for the Hub services in formats that are appropriate and accessible for all.
  • Deliver employability sessions across to support groups of young people through their journey at the Hub and onto positive destinations.
  • With direction from the Hub Lead provide multi
- agency coordination for the Hub, ensuring Youth Partners needs are met at all levels.

  • Engage with the local community to promote awareness of the Youth Hub and build positive connections to community leaders and groups.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date data in line with GDPR compliance. Ensuring accurate recording of all youth partners accessing the Hub, ensuring their journey is tracked and outcomes are recorded.
  • Successfully line manage and support the Hub Support Officer including all HR responsibilities.
  • Produce regular reports to senior members of the Youth Hub team and steering group to ensure targets and deliverables are being met.
  • Maintain YBVs CRM system with accurate details of our youth partners progress, using this information to provide regular progress updates to the team.
  • Create detailed case studies for internal and external use.
  • Manage placement paperwork with the employer and ensure this meets any funded requirements.
  • Keep up to date and accurate records on work placements and contacts with young people.

Personal Specification

Education/Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, human resources, or a related discipline) or JNC equivalent

Experience

Significant experience coordinating programmes/projects supporting people into work.

Demonstrated experience in youth work preferrable.

Proven experience in partnership supervision, business development, or a similar role.

Experience of sourcing and managing work placements.

Experience of setting up new processes and systems.

Demonstrable experience of developing rapport with employers with live vacancies


Skills:

Sound knowledge of safeguarding practices and policies

Good written and verbal skills.

Able to analyse problems and use judgment to propose good solutions.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Solid understanding of the labour market, employment trends, and employer needs.

Strong organizational and coordination skills.

Proficiency in using CRM systems and other relevant software.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
