Are you an experienced Humanities Teacher that holds QTS?
Can you teach GCSE and A Levels?
Have you previously worked in a Pupil Referral Unit or taught challenging students?
If you answered yes to the above, then this Humanities Teacher role is for you

Humanities Teacher
For this Humanities Teacher role you will be required to teach in a Pupil Referral Unit.

You will have lessons of 6-8 students, all will have been removed from a mainstream school on a temporary or permanent basis.

You will be required to teach Humanities GCSEand A Levels depending on the students learning ability.

During your lessons you will have 2 Teaching Assistants in the class at all times who will be there to help you manage the behaviour of the class and support the students with anything they may needextra help with.

The ideal Humanities Teacher for this role will need to have a minimum of 1 years experience and have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

Pupil Referral Unit

Located in the South London borough of Southwark, this Pupil Referral Unit caters for students aged between 7-18 years who have been removed on a temporary or permanent basis due to attendance, behaviour, being at risk in their local area, young pregnanciesetc.

They currently have 50 students who attend and the schools main aim is to provide them a education so they are able to transition back into a mainstream school or continue their life outside of school by going onto further education or securing a job.
