The rationale is to meet the growing challenges of contemporary interdisciplinary opportunities and to deliver the strategic growth agenda of the University.
These Schools are the School of Engineering, the School of Built Environment, Architecture and Creative Industries, and the School of Computer Science, AI and Electronics.
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional operations professional to join the University of Bradford's reshaped Faculty of Engineering and Digital Technologies.
Working with the Dean and Senior Management of the Faculty to provide high-level strategic and operational management and development of the Faculty.
This is a demanding role with responsibilities encompassing organisational excellence, oversight of faculty governance and administration in accordance with policy and regulatory frameworks of the University, risk and financial management and leading on delivery of various faculty-wide projects.
In addition, you will provide leadership of a high-performing Technical Services team and work with Professional Services colleagues across the full range of central university administrative functions and academic and professional services.
The Faculty delivers an exciting mix of core engineering and related disciplines, computer science and creative technologies that complement each other to deliver innovative solutions with high sector impacts addressing the challenges posed by industry, the environment, and health and well-being agendas.
You will have excellent communications, negotiation and persuasion skills, a demonstrable ability to work effectively across multiple teams and exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
You may already work in a comparable role in the University or have relevant experience drawn from other parts of the economy.
An aptitude and willingness to contribute leadership to the operational excellence and strategic development of the Faculty is vital, as is enthusiasm for planning and administration within an academic environment.
