Birmingham Newman University is seeking to recruit a Careers and Opportunities Adviser, to play an integral part in the services on offer to students and graduates as part of the Careers Service.

This is an exciting and diverse role, where you will be expected to provide high quality advice and guidance around employment and work experience through professional one-to-one guidance sessions, workshops and presentations.

A central part of the role will be taking ownership of and negotiating and managing relationships with employers that result in opportunities for Birmingham Newman University students and graduates.

You will be the first point of contact with employers, networks and other key partners, handling difficult conversations and negotiating the best outcomes for students, graduates and academics.

You will manage and promote opportunities through our careers portal and will lead and organise a calendar of events, based on informed information and data, to support the progression and outcomes of our students and graduates, bringing employers and students together and integrating activities into the curriculum across both faculties.

You will actively promote cross-team collaboration on employer initiatives with relevant academic departments and promote employability skills and professional development opportunities to students throughout their studies.
