What to expect as a Production Team Leader

  • Working a day shift pattern
  • No weekends standard shifts all worked Monday to Friday
  • Keyholder and site security opening and closing the building as well as the daytoday site management tasks
  • Dedicated supervisory duties overseeing an experienced production team as well as a number of trainees
  • Creating and maintaining a supportive and positive work environment for staff
  • Leading the team to deliver the daily production plan including communicating shift production targets and objectives to the team
  • Working to tight deadlines to ensure submissions and production targets met
  • Ensuring all direct reports comply with internal procedures including work instructions, use of equipment, product quality and housekeeping as well as compliance with all Health & Safety policies
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within production areas and utilising key relationships with business leaders to progress
  • Ensuring all direct reports comply with company policies and procedures such as break times, start / finish times, absence reporting, holiday management and overtime
  • Identifying training needs and implement ongoing development to ensure operators maintain and exceed required standards
  • Liaising with Maintenance Support Team to efficiently resolve and maintenance issues

What we're looking for

  • Experience of leading a team within a manufacturing and production environment
  • Excellent people management skills and an ability to develop and maintain good working relationships
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Resilience and selfmotivation with a genuine drive for working as a team to achieve production targets
  • Proactive attitude to problem solving and an ability to plan, organise and schedule in an efficient manner

Salary:
£30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
