What to expect as a Production Team Leader

Working a day shift pattern
No weekends standard shifts all worked Monday to Friday
Keyholder and site security opening and closing the building as well as the daytoday site management tasks
Dedicated supervisory duties overseeing an experienced production team as well as a number of trainees
Creating and maintaining a supportive and positive work environment for staff
Leading the team to deliver the daily production plan including communicating shift production targets and objectives to the team
Working to tight deadlines to ensure submissions and production targets met
Ensuring all direct reports comply with internal procedures including work instructions, use of equipment, product quality and housekeeping as well as compliance with all Health & Safety policies
Identify opportunities for improvement within production areas and utilising key relationships with business leaders to progress
Ensuring all direct reports comply with company policies and procedures such as break times, start / finish times, absence reporting, holiday management and overtime
Identifying training needs and implement ongoing development to ensure operators maintain and exceed required standards
Liaising with Maintenance Support Team to efficiently resolve and maintenance issues

What we're looking for

Experience of leading a team within a manufacturing and production environment
Excellent people management skills and an ability to develop and maintain good working relationships
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Resilience and selfmotivation with a genuine drive for working as a team to achieve production targets
Proactive attitude to problem solving and an ability to plan, organise and schedule in an efficient manner

Salary:
£30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
