The Social Value Implementation Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing social value initiatives that align with our company's strategic goals.

This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, measuring the impact of social value projects, and ensuring that all activities support the company's mission of creating positive social change.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, implementing, managing and reporting on the Ridge Community Investment Programme including the overall management of the Community Investment Fund, a charity pot for employee fundraising and to support social value delivery
  • Implementing governance for the Community Investment Programme
  • Responsible for managing our social value approach for embedding social value into frameworks and managing all social value reporting on frameworks
  • Work with Head of Social Value to develop, implement and promote the social value discipline
  • Manage the budget for social value programs, ensuring costeffective use of resources
  • Drive internal communications and advocacy for social value by promoting social value initiatives through internal and external communication channels
  • Develop and manage the Ridge Social Value Network, a multi office network of social impact champions and enthusiasts who lead of local office charity partnerships and volunteering initiatives. Your role will be to empower the network to create value at office level as well as collect information on any outputs and impacts
  • Responsible for staff engagement to promote and educate teams across the business about opportunities contributing to social value delivery
  • Work with Communications and Marketing to drive internal engagement and promote storytelling
  • Including quarterly newsletters highlighting good news stories from the Community Investment Programme and other key messages from the function
  • Manage progress of the Community Investment Programme monthly, providing updates against agreed KPIs
  • Identify opportunities for social value creation across all business operations, including social value creation for our disciplines and sectors
  • Promote volunteering opportunities from our national charity partners across the Partnership and work closely with the Ridge Employee Experience Lead to carve a process for managed volunteering activities including
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for Head of Social Value and other senior management and stakeholders, highlighting the impact and value generated by the Community Investment Programme
  • Deputise for Head of Social Value
  • Directly manage 3 members of staff including a Social Value Copy Writer, Researcher and Impact Analyst and Team Administrator, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment
  • Working closely with the Social Value Project Consultants to promote and record Community Investment Programme activities and impacts

Experience and Skills Required:


To be successful in this role you will need to be passionate about delivering social value and able to communicate with different stakeholders (within Ridge and with clients and external third parties helping us deliver social value).

You will need to have experience of delivering social value activities.

Previous employment as a Social Value Manager, Responsible Business Lead or CSR professional or Social Value Coordinator, Social Value Officer or Section 106 Officer or similar to be considered.


  • Experience within Sustainability ( Social and Environmental)
  • Excellent knowledge of Theory of Change
  • Excellent knowledge of social value measurement frameworks including HACT, SVS, TOMs
  • Excellent knowledge of the UN's SDGs
  • Experience in a social value or CSR role within a government organisation, construction, professional services or training/skills background.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation and project management skills.
  • Strong literacy skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent networking and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent Knowledge of PPN/06/20
  • Ability to analyse data and generate insights.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problemsolving skills.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
