Site Caretaker - Ripley, United Kingdom - Derwent Windows & Doors

Description

Derwent Windows and Doors is a supplier and installer of high quality windows and doors and is looking for a reliable caretaker to take care of our yard, vans and workshop.

This role is busy and varied so will use your self-management and organisational skills to work inside and outside to complete the daily and weekly tasks.

Tasks include unloading, reloading and washing vans, taking and storing deliveries, keeping areas clean and tidy as well as cutting timber and de-glazing.

No specific experience is required just a desire to be busy and organised.

You will be working your 20 hours per week.

Additional hours may be offered from time to time.

Evenings 4.30pm -8.30pm Monday - Thursday.

(Friday working hours 8am - 12 noon. Friday hours can be flexible if required).

Due to the hours of work, the role would suit somebody who is happy working on their own.

Role

• Unload work vans of daily rubbish from site jobs
• Reload van / keep vans fully stocked of materials
• Take deliveries
• Shake dust sheets ready for fitters to reuse the next day
• Keep all products stored neat and tidy
• Keep workshop and yard clean and tidy
• Cut timber mouldings to required sizes.
• Deglaze plastic windows.
• Wash vans weekly
• Loading of skip

Requirements:

• Reliable and organised
• A driving license desirable
• Due to the hours of work, the role would ideally suit somebody who is happy

working on their own


Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
£10.50-£11.75 per hour
