Digital Solutions Technical Support

SMT GB, Duxford, CB22 4QX

Full time Monday to Friday


This new role is pivotal in ensuring we can develop and implement efficient solutions for our customer through smart technology and data-driven innovations.

Maintaining the reliability and efficiency of SMT GB's digital solutions you'll be our primary technical support contact for our SMT Digital Machine and Site solution portfolio.

Reporting to the Site Services Manager you'll be providing a 'triage' service of solution support issues.

Offering expert guidance and support to internal and external customers on digital solution related inquiries you'll investigate and troubleshoot software issues involving multiple API integrations.


In addition, you'll:

  • Diagnose and resolve software connectivity and functionality issues
  • Support on telematic platforms and performances, API integrations, WebUI's, and 3rd party platforms
  • Allocate and manage solution support issues with customers, internal teams and suppliers
  • Identify opportunities to introduce services or solutions to grow solution success
  • Support our customers, sales and service teams to ensure maximum uptime of digital solutions
  • Manage Solution subscriptions and future Saas product offerings
  • Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of SMT's digital offerings

Skills and Experience

  • Diagnosis and resolution of software issues, especially related to API feeds
  • A strong understanding of API concepts, protocols and data formats
  • Knowledge of offhighway telemetry data is ideal
  • Ability to explain complex technical situations to people who are not digital literate
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in both written and spoken English
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel
  • Customer Service mindset and proactive approach
  • Troubleshooting, analytical and problemsolving skills
