Here at NEO Property Solutions we're on the look out for a buyer to join our friendly team based on the outskirts of Leeds (Cross Green).


The role is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous experience within a buying position (preferably within the construction or similar sector) who is looking for a company that offers both security and a great culture.


This position might suit someone early on their purchasing career that's looking to build on experience or alternately someone with a breadth of knowledge that is looking for a role that offer a good work / life balance and good level of consistency.


Responsibilities include:


  • Securing supplies requisitioned from site to meet specification requirements and lead times.
  • Researching, selecting, regional and nationally based suppliers required to meet operational demand comprising repeat purchases and oneoff specialised items.
  • Building relationships with internal teams and suppliers, negotiating terms and SLAs to achieve best out turn value.
  • Support the tendering process for new projects securing specification compliance for supplies on competitive terms.
  • Updating inventory and managing stock levels.
  • Supporting the team with additional duties including administration of plant, fleet, fuel, and tools.
  • Working with Internal software keeping Asset items up to date.

Essential skills:


  • Commercially aware team player with strong negotiation skills.
  • Familiar preparing proposals to implement new initiatives and supply arrangements.
  • Effective IT skills, able to use and analyse data with experience of accounting systems, Use of Sage 200.
  • Comfortable working in a busy office environment whilst managing competing priorities.

The role will suite:

Team players with 2+ years' experience gained within a buying role ideally within the construction sector or regulated industry.


Remuneration:

This is a grade 6b Office Based role with the following benefits:

  • Salary to £38,000 / annum.
  • Hours of work 08:00 17:00 (Mon to Thurs) and 08:00 16:30 (Fridays).
  • Holidays 29 days holiday per annum (including 8 statutory holiday days) rising by 1 day for each year of service up to a maximum 33 days / annum.

Neo Property Solutions, part of the PTSG Group, deliver specialist passive fire protection services, including Fire Compartmentation Surveys, Fire Door Surveys, Fire Stopping and Fire Compartmentation Works, executed as part of a rolling programme of annual inspection and/or rectification works required across multi-occupancy housing, buildings of public amenity, healthcare facilities, education establishments, student accommodation blocks and security sensitive office buildings and workplaces.
