Manufacturing Operator

n/a Shift pattern: rotating weekly 38 hours early/night/lates
Principal Objectives:
- Operation of plant equipment to ensure that the output of the Manufacturing Department meets the demands of the production plan and the capabilities of the Plant and staff.
- All operations are compliant and executed in a safe way.
- Ensure all operations and documentation are compliant with the GMP standards for the Manufacturing Department.
- Cover of Operators as required ensuring cover as required with the approval of the Team Leader or designee.
- To work safely at all times, to wear personal protective equipment as directed and to clean/maintain the PPE.
General Principles:
- To assess staff availability and allocate to specific tasks on a daytoday basis which will meet the production plan and anticipated sales or stock levels.
- Ensure that products are manufactured in a timely manner, through efficient management of the Operators following the respective SOP's for each operation.
- Carry out tasks in a compliant way as you were trained, if you are not trained or confident that can carry out the tasks inform your Senior Operator.
- SOP's are present and current for all operations, if there are errors in the documents inform your Senior Operator.
Specific Responsibilities:
- To work with the Team Leader/Senior Operators/M&PH Manager to achieve the efficient and compliant operation of the Manufacturing and Packing Departments to meet the demands of the production plan.
- To delegate effectively to the Operators to ensure their responsibilities are understood and the quality of work is maintained.
- To actively manage and promote Health Safety and Environmental practices within the Department. Ensuring the Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to.
- To actively participate in projects with the Production Manager and/or M&PH Manager
- To assess the current operation of the Manufacturing and Packing Hall Departments and propose changes and/or modifications to increase the output or quality of the operation.
- To ensure the Manufacturing Department housekeeping is clean and tidy so that no risk of contamination build up and/or safety issues may arise, and all QAF's/log books are completed as per QA 010.
- To participate in any other tasks that are deemed a priority for the site by the Production Manager that you are able and trained to perform.
