Job Description:

In addition to the above core tasks, Casework Support Officers within the team may be required to support with a number of other tasks, including but not limited to the following:

  • Administrative tasks to include: invoicing, pagination and filing, customer communications, defence requests and travel arrangements.
  • General office duties, including meeting and escorting visitors and handling incoming and outgoing post.


All of the above activities within this role are carried out following Standard Operating Procedures, and require adherance to appropriate Health and Safety and Quality protocols.

The role holer for the CSO position will be required to work within a busy environment interfacing with internal team members and external customers to ensure excellent customer service is upheld.

They will contribute to the success of the casework teams by completing all set tasks required whilst ensuring quality is maintained at all times


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Reciept and Return of exhibits, whilst following documented processes the ensure exhibit integrity is maintained at all times
  • Use of our CLIMS for recording of case information
  • Triage and assessment of incoming cases
  • Packaging of items for return to customers
  • Case administration
  • Adhere to all aspects of our Customer Operational Protocols, Health and Safety requirements and the Eurofins Quality Management System.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining the integrity and continuity of exhibits.
  • Communicate with other scientists as appropriate throughout the lifetime of a case.

Qualifications:


Required Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's at grade 49 or above to include English, Maths and Science.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft and Google packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace)
  • Understanding of the confidential nature of the business
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fastpaced, challenging environment

Preferred Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills

  • Previous experience of working in a support role
  • Recent experience of working within an environment handling forensic exhibits
