Description

To advise and influence health and care organisations in Wales on product areas for which the post holder is responsible through networking and presentations, some to large groups of senior NHS staff, many of whom may be either unsure of the highly complex issues involved and/or sceptical or antagonistic.

Develop, maintain and initiate relationships with users and significant key stakeholders (Consultants, Health Board / Trust IT, Health Board / Trust Finance, Strategists (WAG - IHC).

Where appropriate, supervise Local Health Board-based implementation plans.


Maintain a high level of knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and technologies, understanding the potential benefits they may have in systems development and the way those systems impinge upon patient care.

Researching, exploring and making use of effective new technologies, and taking a leading role in the provision of interoperability standards and standards development expertise.

Responsible for testing that technical assets that define interoperability standards are accurate and that implementers are able to adopt standards effectively

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
