Description

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for producing various classes of cost estimates for engineering and construction projects within the oil and gas industry.

They will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates are comprehensive and adhere to project requirements.

Estimates will be prepared throughout each phase of the project lifecycle, from Initiation to FEED and Detailed Design.

The Estimator will:

Attend project meetings to obtain thorough understanding of Scope of Work and cost estimate requirements.
Write basis of estimate / supporting estimate notes detailing qualifications, assumptions & exclusions.
Support reviews and assurance of cost estimates.
Maintain accurate records within the Estimating Register.
Understand Cost and Planning Interfaces.
Understand and Challenge Engineering CTR's.
Interrogate cost, planning and procurement information and reports for support data.
Prepare revisions to cost estimates in a controlled manner.
Undertake the formal filing of cost estimates, the collection of historical data and the continuous update of estimating databases, in a controlled manner.
Coordinate development and issue of project change orders.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates align with project scope and timeline.
Participate in project meetings and provide input.
Be able to work in a fast pace, dynamic work environment with multiple priorities.

Qualifications / Skills:

At least 5 years of experience in E&C cost estimating preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge & experience in EPC estimating practices and methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suites including Excel and Word

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months
