About us

Scott Inventories are a team of property inventory clerks who carry out hundreds of inspections on rental properties across London each year.

We are currently looking for experienced and reliable freelance property inventory clerks to join our small and busy team.

We have an ample amount of work immediately available, and you can expect to work on average 10 jobs a week during the busier spring/ summer periods which run from March to September.

Duties of the role

As an inventory clerk, you will be required to attend rental properties at the start and end of tenancies, and carry out a visual condition report.

You will need to be meticulous and be able to produce a very detailed and accurate written inventory, using an app software.

You will need to have a confident disposition and be able to strike up a good rapport with our clients.

We work very closely with estate agents, landlords and tenants, and you will often meet with them for access into the property, and the picking up and returning of keys.

Customer service is at the heart of what we do, and therefore a level of professionalism and approachability is key.

Requirements:

• Android or Apple device (for use of app software)
• Willing to travel around London at own expense
• Public liability and Professional indemnity insurance
• Utility meter access keys (full FB fire brigade key set)
• Good time keeping/ organising of own schedule
• Able to commit to at least three days during the week and at least two weekends out of the month
• You will need to be registered with HRMC as self employed and therefore are responsible for filing your own taxes.
