Green Shoots - Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship

The Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 in Childcare during a 15-month Apprenticeship with Green Shoots Pre School.

Green Shoots is a small community based inclusive Preschool situated in Bruton, Bath, providing flexible childcare with a healthy focus.

Green Shoots pride themselves on being a local setting, that has provided excellent childcare for local families for a total of 9 years since 2013.

Roles and responsibilities:

Going to the community allotment
Going to the care home to sign songs
Healthy focussed early years setting
Supporting children with personal care
Supporting children with feeding and snacks
Interacting with parents
Recording observations

Planning activities for the children

Preparing activities and participating with the children

Arts and crafts

Helping to clear away

Following safe guarding procedures

Following health and safety procedures

Keeping the children safe at all times Qualities required:

You must be reliable, hardworking and a good team player who is able to follow instructions, and you must be willing to undertake training in order to gain your Level 2 in Childcare.

Hours:

This nursery is open from 09.00 am until 3.30 pm currently, to accommodate the working patterns of parents in Bath, and you will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week term time only, Monday to Friday within these hours.

Requirements:

You must be able to gain a clear DBS.

Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.

If you do not have these grades you must be willing to work towards them, as in the event you want to progress onto the level 3, these will be required.
