H9 Technical are currently looking to recruit a
Combustion Engineer, on either a permanent or contract basis, to be based at our client's head-office in the West Midlands.
Our client is a world leading renewable energy company with projects all across the globe, and they have had a very successful start to 2023, winning a number of key long-term contracts.
Scope of Work
- Work alongside Process Engineers to assess requirements for fuel switching combustion equipment.
- Evaluate options for fuel switching, technology, and interaction with Suppliers.
- Write Combustion Equipment Standards and Specifications for Project
- Review technical proposals for Combustion Equipment modifications.
- Create Data Sheets, Setting Plans and Duty Specifications for Equipment
- Technical activities involved with Requisitioning of Equipment
- Vendor design review
- Assistance during construction and commissioning
Key Requirements
- Knowledge of the Energy from Waste/Biomass sector desirable
- Degree with membership of IChemE or IMechE preferred (will accept significant experience as substitute)
- Will to be able to travel occasionally to European office or site.
- Combustion Engineer with experience of rating and design of combustion equipment
- The Engineer shall have selected, specified, and engineered combustion equipment through projects from Design Phase to Purchase and Delivery
