Dorset Healthcare Estates and Facilities Directorate are seeking to appoint a conscientious and self-motivated Estates Officer (Electrical Operations), to manage and support the electrical maintenance team based at our new office and workshop facilities in Wareham.


The team deliver pre-planned maintenance and quality repair services to a variety of Trust premises across Dorset, which include Hospitals, Health Centres, Mental Health Units and Administrative Buildings.


Working closely with colleagues in the building and mechanical operational teams, as well as the Estates Leadership, Compliance, and Minor New Works teams, the Estates Officer (Electrical Operations) will provide leadership, problem solving, support and effective management of the electrically biased Team Leaders, engineers, and Maintenance Workers.


A programme of professional development training is in place, that will support a person's progression toward attaining an Appointed Person qualification in one or more mechanical disciplines.

Working in partnership with Facilities Managers, the Estates Leadership Team, Electrical and Building Officers, and clinical and management staff across the Trust

Line managing a delivery team of electrical engineers and Maintenance Workers.

Providing technical guidance and advice, co-ordination of works

Sub-contractor management

Management of operational H and S

Inclusion in the Estates On-Call Manager rota.

The Estates Officer (Electrical Operations) role comes with a pay enhancement of £3500 pa.

plus, an on-call allowance currently at 4.5%, over-time payments at enhanced rates, flexible working options, a tracked vehicle (business and commuting use only) and work wear.

A full UK driving licence is essential.
