Our client a leading Swiss manufacturer in watches and jewellery are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic
Logistics Assistant to join their successful and outgoing team.


Paying £26,750 with £500 bonus

This is 5 days in the office (Royal Docks)
Main Function of Role


To play a vital role in ensuring the logistics department is running efficiently, providing assistance in all areas of the department and providing cover in the post room.


Key Responsibilities
***- Receive all packages, mail & pallets from all couriers and distribute while logging in all packages onto our system if needed.

  • Send out all post and parcels to defined destination.
  • Put all invoices & reminders into envelopes and post.
  • Maintain all office stationary.
  • File all records of received and sent mail.
  • Deal with any queries about the status of delivered parcels which was sent through post room.
  • Keep the post room reasonably tidy.
  • Be responsible for dealing with all E-Commerce returns including checking and booking entries onto SAP
  • Courier bookings and tracking's, follow up and enquiries related to all shipments from B1000 and booking requests from stores.
  • Warehouse Management: Keeping the warehouse tidy and following up with the Brands to ensure the use of the space is maximize.
  • Management of Brands requests to minimize journeys to the warehouse.
  • Fulfilment of Customer Service stock request.
  • Adhoc tasks to be done in logistics on a daytoday basis.

Area of Expertise
***Strong understanding of the post room, whilst understanding the processes in the Logistics department.

Communication

Ensuring that all activities are clearly communicated to both the Brands and logistics department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing assistance and cover.
  • Keeping the logistics team and brands informed.
  • Updating the logistics folders and spreadsheets.
  • Be responsible for E-Commerce returns
Customer Services

Acts as the first port of call for any customer or trade queries which come into the department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Helping the trade with any enquiries, including directing them to the correct department.
  • Dealing with any enquiries from the team.
Administration

Responsible for the general administration, which ensures the smooth running of the department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Attendance & participations in team meetings.
  • Filing completed forms.
  • Updating databases.
  • Additional administrative duties as required, such as archiving.
  • Good housekeeping.
  • Supporting the Logistics Coordinator with any ad hoc projects as and when required.
