Accounts Assistant - Fixed Term Contract - £28,000 - £30,000 - Colnbrook, Slough


The company

An international Freight Company that has offices across the globe and a firm belief that all staff deserve to be recognised for the hard work that they do.

This is an exciting role that allows the right person to join a busy and efficient team.

The role
Due to an expanding market, this global company needs an Accounts Assistant to join them.

In the role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that queries in regard to purchases/sales accounts are dealt with
  • Making sure that payments are made on time
  • Cash allocation
  • Reconcile supplier accounts to payable ledgers
  • Prepare remittance advice's detailing invoices contained in payment
  • Pay foreign suppliers by wire transfer
  • Posting of foreign invoices
  • Send statements monthly and on request
  • Chase customer payments
  • CASS Imports/Exports
  • Weekly exchange rates

What you'll need to be successful

  • Having worked in a finance team within a Freight company will be an advantage
  • Accuracy in working with large amounts of data
  • Ms office proficiency

If
Successful, In return you will receive:

  • Two weeks temp then, if effective during this time, you will go onto a 12 month Fixed Term Contract
  • Salary of £28 000 to £30 000
