Description
The Barn at Willerby Hill is a busy wedding venue. We are looking for a Gardener to join our team. This position is part time. The Gardener is responsible for the maintenance and care of the grounds, gardens, and landscape.


Essential Functions:


  • Perform routine maintenance on grounds, landscape, and buildings
  • Maintain and clean equipment used in the maintenance department
  • Ensure all equipment is in working condition and safe condition
  • Perform routine maintenance on landscape and plants
  • Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions in all areas of operation
  • Perform general cleaning duties as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Skills:


  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in extreme cold, extreme heat, extreme humidity, and in all types of terrain
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather throughout the year; including hot summers and cold winters
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; ability to learn plant names and basic plant care terminology is a plus
