As Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) Programme Administrator you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day business of the Integrated Care Board's (ICB) Local Maternity and Neonatal System.

The role of the LMNS is to support maternity transformation and have oversight and assurance of the maternity services.

This is a part-time post of 18.75 hours per week, the specific days/hours negotiable with the successful applicant.


This is a fast-paced role with responsibility to provide and coordinate the administrative and project support functions of the team, such as the preparation of agendas and minutes, taking follow up action as required, supporting the management of projects, gathering information and undertaking enquiries and ensuring that projects have robust governance systems in place to support delivery.

This post will provide secretarial/administration support and advice to the LMNS work streams by:

  • Taking telephone calls for the Head of Maternity Transformation Programme when out of the office and expected to use their initiative to deal with phone calls and messages;
  • Acting as a reference point for queries and information in relation to the LMNS programme dealing and responding effectively with queries from stakeholders and passing on relevant information to appropriate board members sensitively and autonomously;
  • Preparing agendas, taking minutes and distributing notes of LMNS Programme Board meetings including typing up of any work stream meetings as necessary;
  • Coordinating population of the work plan updates, following up outstanding actions and project status with work stream leads;
  • Developing positive relationships with colleagues to provide support including facilitation, tracking and reporting on projects;
  • Managing the electronic diary for the Head of Maternity Transformation Programme, including arranging and changing appointments, prioritising these as appropriate;
  • Undertaking administrative duties such as photocopying, faxing and mailout distributions;
  • Supporting workstream leads in organising events and distributing any supporting information as necessary e.g. engagements events;
  • Developing and maintaining effective electronic and paper filing systems, to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to relevant others;
  • Carrying out other appropriate delegated duties as required.
