Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location:
Reddish, Stockport
Salary:
£26,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
About Us:
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate and uptodate purchase ledger.
- Processing purchase invoices and credit notes accurately on Sage, following company policies and adhering to appropriate VAT regulations.
- Preparing and submitting UK VAT returns for multiple companies within the group.
- Preparing and submitting FR VAT returns for multiple companies within the group.
- Handling multicurrency bank postings and reconciling supplier/customer/bank accounts for multiple companies within the group.
- Processing payroll efficiently and accurately (experience preferable, but not required; training will be provided).
- Undertaking any other ad hoc and admin duties, providing support to the finance team as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar role.
- AAT Qualification
- Level 3 (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (experience with crossborder VAT treatment advantageous).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (Sage 50 Accounts preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
