The Sir Thomas Hotel in the heart of Liverpool City Centre are looking to recruit a Kitchen Porter to join their team.

As a kitchen porter you will be perfectly placed to see how a Hotel kitchen operates.

it means being able to work in all areas of the kitchen, helping chefs, building your knowledge and playing an important role in the smooth running of the Hotel.

Experience isn't necessary, what's more important is that you are friendly, helpful and keen to get involved.

You'll help with deliveries, clean kitchen areas and learn simple food preparation skills.

High standards of hygiene and attention to detail are important - with the energy to stay one step ahead in a fast-moving, customer focused environment.

Job Role:

Assisting with the smooth running of the kitchen production areas.
Washing dishes manually and also by using the dishwasher.
Assisting in basic food preparation.
Cleaning pots, pans and any other kitchen utensils.
Maintain the kitchen work areas in accordance with HACCP regulations.
Storing away all crockery, cutlery and glassware.
Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor.
Emptying bins when they are full.
Making sure that all kitchen equipment like food mixers, fridges, cookers are in good clean working order.
Reporting any faulty equipment to the Chef or Food & Beverage Manager and then arranging for their repair.
Keeping the storerooms well stocked and organised at all times.
Complying with the daily cleaning rotas.
Taking all dirty linen and cloths from the kitchen to the hotel laundry.
Ensuring that at the end of the shift the kitchen is ready for the morning staff.
