Parity Group is delighted to partner with our client, an NHS public sector organisation, who is looking to recruit an
In-house Commercial Lawyer,on either
a fixed-term six-month contract or a permanent basis.This role will be based in Basingstoke with flexible remote working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading on legal negotiations with third parties and their legal representatives in connection with commercial contracts, property matters and dispute issues;
- Drafting, reviewing, advising on, and approving a full range of commercial property transactional documents, including agreements for lease, leases, licences, sale and purchase of land documentation and agreements;
- Creation and maintenance of contract and property databases;
- Supporting contract management;
- Advising on and assisting with the management of commercial disputes;
- Advising the Data Protection Officer on queries relating to matters of data protection, data security and privacy;
- Advising on Intellectual Property queries when they arise;
- Drafting agreements and technical documentation to support the procurement process and advising on procurement matters;
- Advising on commercial risk;
- Continuously reviewing and approving standard form agreements, legal policies, and procedures;
- Developing templates for use by the Legal team and more widely in the Trust;
- Conducting legal training as required;
- Contributing to various Legal team initiatives and projects;
- Deputising for the Head of Legal Services when required;
- Recommending appropriate courses of action to the Head of legal services and Associate Director of Corporate Affairs on commercial issues;
- Liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and maintain professionalism at all times;
- Supporting the Legal team by assisting with general legal enquiries, advisory work and providing crosscover of healthcare matters when required.
Your Experience:
- Qualified Solicitor with practising rights in the UK, minimum of 3 years PQE
- Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant commercially focused role.
- Experience, knowledge and expertise in commercial contract and property law
- Experience of working in a large complex organisation
- Demonstrable competence in managing and advising on commercial risk
- Experience and competence in drafting both commercial and standard form NHS Contract
- Experience and knowledge of procurement law
