Summary of role


You will be a member of a team within our corporate services group that specialises in the provision of corporate services to regulated funds and fund services business clients, including funds listed on the LSE.


Working closely with the responsible Manager, the role requires proactive, hands on client interaction including regular client meetings, all conducted in a professional manner and in accordance with regulatory requirements, agreed client service-levels and company standards.


Job Specification

  • You will be the main day to day point of contact for the investment manager, board of nonexecutive directors and intermediaries within your designated portfolio of clients.
  • You will take responsibility for the training and development of more junior team members to build and develop their knowledge and enhance their career and promotion prospects.
  • You will provide support to the management team in the establishment of an effective system of internal control throughout the Company and accordingly, to ensure that all staff comply with prescribed policies and procedures.
  • You will assist in managing the team and deputising in the Manager's absence acting as the focal point for administration and technical queries from members of the team.

Essential Skills:


  • To hold, or be studying towards, a professional qualification recognised by the JFSC preferably ICSA or ACCA.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of company administration and corporate governance
  • Proven knowledge of appropriate Jersey legislation and regulation and the ability to demonstrate both compliance, risk and audit awareness.
  • Good minute writing skills.
  • Proven analytical and problemsolving abilities with the ability to present ideas in userfriendly, businessfriendly and technical language.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Selfmotivated with experience of working in a teamorientated and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to delegate, coach and mentor members of the team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to identify potential risk issues and escalate when necessary and the ability to draft high quality minutes of meetings.

Skills:


  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to identify and suggest procedural improvements.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise workloads, working within allocated deadlines and according to instructions and Company procedures, manage time scales and use own initiative.
  • Confident in using all systems necessary for daytoday tasks and ability to identify own training needs.
  • To be aware of, and convey, the correct professional image and high standards applied by the Company

Desirables:


  • Knowledge of the London Stock Exchange Listing Rules, the UK Corporate Governance Code and/or the Association of Investment Companies Code of Corporate Governance would be advantageous but not essential as "on the job" training will be provided.
