Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic Events Management business who are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operations Manager on a permanent basis due to growth.

The business mainly provides services to corporate events which generally take place on weekdays, although some weekend working will be required, and there is a high degree of flexibility regarding working hours, as well as an understanding that this is nota 9-5 job.

As a Warehouse Operations Manager you'll have overall responsibility for the warehouse, the warehouse team, stock and quality issues relating to equipment.

This includes responsibility for members of the warehouse team and anyone else who works in or entersthe warehouse space, asset management, waste management, repair management and managing all activities that fall within the warehouse function.

Duties and responsibilities:

You lead in the recruitment and onboarding of warehouse staff.
You will proactively manage the warehouse space and storage.
You will play a pivotal role in designing and managing staff training and personal development of the warehouse team, including the implementation LEAN process throughout the warehouse.
You will plan warehouse staff and technical resources.
You will liaise closely with our Head of Procurement regarding all aspects of stock management.
You will police warehouse policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all procedures and ISO requirements.
You will meet regularly with the warehouse manager and warehouse supervisors to analyse productivity levels and develop KPI's which can be used to measure these.
You will manage a consistent performance management process and be able to lead any disciplinary or grievance procedures.

Qualifications and experience:

A technical background and an excellent understanding of how AV equipment works and is used in live events.
Proven demonstrable experience in Warehouse Management roles, ideally working within a similar industry.
Exceptional planning skills being able to plan for variations in team capability and availability.
First class interpersonal skills especially regarding meeting management and written communications.
Experience of working effectively with a wide variety of people at all levels within an organisation.
Strong team skills with the ability to work with a variety of professionals from different disciplines to successfully deliver Projects.
Naturally proactive instincts, with a hunger for inspiring change and operational improvement.
Excellent all round enduser IT skills.
