37 hours per week - split shift, Monday to Friday

Monday to Thursday: 7am to 11.30am then 2:45pm to 5.45pm

Friday: 7am to 11am then 2:00pm to 5pm


The Headteacher and Governors of Carr Hill Community Primary School in Gateshead are seeking to appoint a Site Manager to join our dedicated team as soon as possible.


We are looking for a self-motivated, well organised and reliable person who will provide a key role in maintaining our school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.

He or she will have good communication skills, liaising with the Headteacher, School Business Manager and Deputy Headteacher.


It is NOT a condition of employment that the successful applicant occupies the 3-bedroom detached house on the school grounds, however if the successful applicant wants to occupy the house, that can be discussed.


The successful applicant will be required to drive our school minibus on occasions, so will need to hold a Category D1 Licence OR must have held a Category B Licence for at least 2 years, be over 21 years of age and be willing to undertake the relevant driving test to upgrade their licence to include D1.


He or she will also be responsible for managing the health & safety requirements of the school, including the maintenance of statutory and non-statutory records.

Ideally you will be practical with a range of DIY skills that would support the maintenance and repairs of the school.
