The Opportunity


We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and attentive Delivery Driver & Logistics Operative to be based at our warehouse in West London.

You'll be focused on ensuring that all of our clients have an excellent experience; from ensuring process is followed within the warehouse so that stock is managed effectively, through to the product is delivered and installed efficiently and courteously, you always have the client in mind.

In this role, good furniture knowledge is an advantage as many of our products will require not only unpacking and delivering to the client's room of choice, but often some assembly and installation too.

You're a true brand ambassador, representing The Sofa & Chair Company to our clients.


Key Skills Required

  • Must possess a clean UK Driving License
  • Experience of delivering and assembling furniture will be a distinct advantage
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes, moving stock inbound & outbound
  • A good working knowledge of driving in and around London
  • Confident communicator both on the phone and in person
  • Practical knowledge you will be required to assemble furniture on site
  • Capable of lifting heavy items
  • Knowledge of carpentry and upholstery is beneficial
  • Forklift and Order Picker licence is beneficial

Accountabilities

  • Check, load and deliver stock in and around London
  • Providing excellent service to our clients when delivering their furniture
  • Installing/fitting our furniture range (bespoke furniture/and headboards) for our clients
  • Looking after the tools/keeping the vans tidy
  • Escalate any concerns to our Client Services Team with recommended resolutions
  • Ensuring client expectations are met
  • Be a brand ambassador, knowledge of our company and product range
  • Process all items on and out to bays using the company database (SAP) efficiently
  • Liaising with delivery & courier drivers
  • Preparing items to be sent into client locations
  • Assist with the smooth running of the warehouse & logistics department and work closely with the Production and Sales teams
