Most importantly you will have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to greet customers in a warm and friendly way, actively listening to their needs and advising accordingly.

You must have a strong commitment to provide a good service.

In the role you will have the opportunity to help to source gift stock, and may be responsible for ordering, payment and accepting stock deliveries.

You will also be responsible for displaying the stock in an attractive manner and ensuring that the shop is clean and tidy.

Individuals will need to be comfortable working alone and independently for the majority of the time, but will also need to work as part of a wider team of part time employees, Royal Mail postal workers and volunteer Committee Members who support the running of "Your Community Shop".

As the main representative of "Your Community Shop", you will need to always be in store, on time, smartly dressed and ready to serve.

You must also be comfortable to secure the premises at the end of each working day.

Previous PO, customer service or retail experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

Opening / working hours are:
