Overview / Responsibilities:


Wood is currently recruiting for a Document Controller for a 6 month Fixed Term Staff Contract or Role or can be PAYE.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Observe and support the adherence of Clients Information Management Policy, Document Control Standards and Procedures.
  • Manage and maintain documentation within TAQA's Electronic Document Management System's (EDMS).
  • Verify the completeness, accuracy, and quality of documentation prior to processing.
  • Formally circulate documentation in accordance with the defined distributions.
  • Exercise initiative by designating personal workload from the shared mailboxes and intrays.
  • Assist in completing requests, searches, and queries requested by company personnel.
  • Liaise with company personnel and third parties (where applicable).
  • Provide feedback to support continuous improvement.

Skills / Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

Essential

  • Experience and awareness of EDMS's.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office packages (Word / Excel).
Preferred

  • RGU Document Control Foundation CPD Course, or equivalent qualification.
  • Training and experience of Bentley ProjectWise systems.
  • Training and experience of OpenText Documentum systems.
  • Training and experience of Cimage Enterprise systems.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Essential

  • Previous experience in a document control role within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Good knowledge of document control in both Engineering and Operational environments.
  • Experience of both project and documentation lifecycles.
  • Ability to follow process.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player.
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to learn.
Preferred

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Good understanding of project management.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of ISO9001 requirements for control of documents.
