The Little Princess Trust is looking for a new
Social Media Assistant to join its team at the charity's offices in Hereford.

So, if you are a whiz with Insta reels, always hopping on the latest TikTok trends, and are obsessed with all things social, we would love to hear from you

The Little Princess Trust makes a real difference to the lives of thousands of young people every year.

The real hair wigs we provide, free of charge, restore the confidence and identity of those who have lost their hair through cancer treatment and other conditions.

The charity also funds vital research within the world of paediatric cancer.


As The Little Princess Trust seeks to help more young people than ever before and support increasing numbers of research projects, the charity is looking for someone to ensure the direction and content of the charity's social media channels align to and enhance its communications and marketing strategies.

Vacancy Type:


  • Permanent, full time position (35 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Daily monitoring of the charity's social media accounts.
  • Develop an indepth understanding of our digital content strategy and use this to make decisions about what we publish.
  • Create and publish original and highquality content including videos, gifs and graphics.
  • Turn supporters' words and pictures into imaginative content that encourages audience interaction.
  • Use a publishing schedule and organisational software such as Hootsuite and Trello to structure content.
  • Respond to supporters' questions and queries on social media platforms and identify any potential problems or complications at the earliest opportunity.
  • Ensure that the charity's core values, voice, editorial style and brand guidelines are applied consistently across each social media platform.
  • Help to spread the profile of the charity's wide and varied work by using the power of social media.
  • Assist the Social Media Team Leader and the Relationships Manager with large partnership projects and social media campaigns.
  • Any ad hoc duties as instructed by the Communications Manager.

Required Skills / Experience:


  • Indepth knowledge of the social media landscape, including all major platforms and channels, emerging trends, and industry best practice. Platforms include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn.
  • Experience of using social media tools for publishing, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Experience of social content strategy and delivering online content to that strategy across multichannel environments including mobile platforms.
  • IT skills to design and create imaginative social media posts that stand out on busy timelines.
  • Strong copywriting, editing and proofing skills with an eye for accurate grammar and spelling.
  • The ability to design and create imaginative TikTok videos is an advantage.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
