Bright Sparks Events are looking for children's party entertainers to perform our exciting Science Party Packages on weekends across Oxfordshire and Berkshire We have a great reputation for delivering high-quality science parties, that our team of hard-working staff have built over the last 10 years.

Our staff don't just present any old science; they entertain children and adults alike with their understanding of weird and wonderful science.

In fact, we like to call it

Edu-tainment

You will get to perform magic tricks, inspire scientific demonstrations, science-based games, supervise hands-on activities and be an entertainer that both parents and children will adore and have them gasping with delight throughout the presentation.

Your responsibility will be to engage the kids, captivate your audience and guide them to make their party the best one ever

The role:

We are looking for motivated, outgoing, passionate individuals, preferably with experience working with children, who are willing to learn some fun science experiments, embrace some silliness and have fun at children's parties.

Most parties are held on weekends and can last from 1 hour to 2 hours; we allow flexible bookings so this job will suit anyone who wants flexible hours.

If you have a background in teaching, acting, science, youth clubs or kids entertainment, this is the right job for you You'll need to be creative and imaginative as well as professional reliable, responsible and punctual to ensure successful execution of the best party experience for the children involved.

You will be doing simple science experiments that children will love.

You will receive full, comprehensive training which offers you valuable experience, a chance to learn new skills and it will be a priceless addition to your CV, as well as promising loads of fun in every event you deliver Party entertainers will work independently, delivering up to 4 parties or events per weekend.

You will be required to travel to party venues with plenty of kits.

Areas of Responsibility:

Arriving at the venue with plenty of time to set up, introduce yourself to the guests and settle the children down to begin the party.
Directly ensure the delivery of quality entertainment at the standard expected.
To be highly motivated and entertaining, whilst being professional and keeping safety a top priority.
Setting up the party space, which may include moving furniture and equipment.
Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to by yourself and the children, including all health and safety procedures.
To clear away afterwards, leaving the venue in the same condition you arrived.
To collect, return and replenish party kits to the Head Office.
This role requires the transportation of larger kits to rural destinations.

Duties and Key Tasks to include:

Liaising with Head office with updates and queries.
At all times behave in a manner that reflects the expectations of Bright Sparks Events.
Show the required motivation, passion and professionalism for the duration of the party, acting as an ambassador and behaving as a suitable role model for children.

Personal Specification:

Have relevant experience working with 5 to 11-year-olds.

Able to travel to and from venues and Head Office with relevant equipment.
Have a mobile phone to keep in touch with Head Office and the parent booking the party or the party organisers.
Sound judgement, common sense and the ability to act on one's own initiative.
Sufficient understanding and use of English to ensure the wellbeing of the children.
Are responsible, reliable individuals with good organisational skills.
Are an excellent communicator, with confident face to face customer service skills.

Are motivated individuals, passionate about working with children.
