Job description
We are seeking a qualified traffic management operative for an ASAP Start available.

Works involve frequent travelling to Essex, Suffolk, Cambridge or London.

Happy to consider part time / freelance - self employed position.

Scope of Role:

As a TM Operative you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management on our on-going highway works.

Your tasks will include distributing cones, signs, frames, and sandbags in adherence to Chapter 8 including use of temporary 2 way traffic lights systems and managing pedestrians.

Duties may include:

Setting up temporary traffic lights at roads required
Managing the traffic flow via manual control at the temporary traffic lights ensuring the public abide by this and prevent any unnecessary queues.
Reporting anything necessary to site supervisor or operations manager
Reliable and dependable with a good attitude to work
Being able to read and interpret traffic management drawings.
Maintaining and remove traffic management within the required time scales.
Setting up traffic lights.
To ensure the team works in a safe and effective manner to achieve optimum output and to the required quality.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act at all times.
Be aware and comply to the provided RAMS.
