Administrator/Personnel Security Team Member

Contract Length:
anticipated 12 months Location: Seascale 5 DAYS ON SITE

There is a requirement to work from 0700 hours to 1510 hours. Our client is within central government, and they are looking to hire an Administrator, within their Vetting Team. As the Personnel Security Team Administrator you will have at least five years' experience working in a similar role and demonstrable clerical and administrative skills. As the Administrator for the Security Team, you will support the provision of a professional vetting process service in line with the Regulatory requirements or a professional pass issue service, to both internal and external customers to the organisation's site. We are looking for a Personnel Security Team Member with a minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above inc. Maths & English, along with excellent communication and inter-personal skills, plus good computer skills.

As the Personnel Security Team Admin Member you will have the following responsibilities:


  • Give direct support to the Pass Office team leader or Vetting Team Leader.
  • Provision of a professional vetting process service in line with ONR Regulatory requirements or a professional pass issue service to both internal and external customers to the Site.
  • Carry out all designated work packages ensuring they meet the required standards of safety, cost, time and quality.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders in order to support the vetting or pass issue process, providing advice and guidance, taking corrective advice to address routine issues and escalating more complex problems to more senior colleagues to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Create accounts and monitor activity to ensure timely completion by the applicant, offering support and guidance where required to individuals, line managers and points of contact with customers and suppliers.
  • Takes accountability to sign off vetting packs on behalf of the team to confirm that all relevant verifications checks have been carried out and the vetting standards is met, providing justification for where vetting cannot be progressed
  • To contribute to the improvement of a safe environment/good housekeeping of the working area.
  • Complies with all legislative, regulatory and company policy, standards and procedures e.g. safety, quality, risk, security etc.
  • Ensure all KPI's are provided to the Team Leader.
  • Report security incidents to the Team Leader.
  • Ensure that there is no unauthorised access to site.
  • Ensure all regulatory and company polices are met.
As the Personnel Security Team Member you will have worked in a similar role and will have the following skillset:

  • Demonstrable communication and inter-personal skills
  • Demonstrable clerical and administrative skills
  • Evidence of high integrity and discretion
  • Demonstrable computer literacy
  • Evidence of effective team working capability

Anticipated Length of Assignment:

Unless otherwise stated (we do carry the occasional permanent vacancy) all of our roles are technically temporary, though opening assignments can be and often are, extended by clients on a longer term basis and can sometimes become permanent.
