We are a leading natural and smoke ventilation specialist is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established sales team.
The successful applicant will be home based but must be able to drive to clients that are located in the London and the surrounding counties.
About The Role:
To maximise sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within the assigned territory. You will be effective in selling the company's broad product portfolio within a targeted range of project values.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain & expand client base through relationshipfocused approach
- Identify & cultivate new business opportunities in sales area
- Develop strong understanding of standards & product information
- Adhere to Health & Safety policies and company procedures
- Record all communications & activities accurately in CRM
- Prepare and submit quotations with detailed scope explanations
- Handover received orders with completed forms to Commercial Director
- Provide support in postorder meetings and to Project Manager
- Create case studies with project details and visual materials
About you:
Skills required:
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
- Strong organisation & time management abilities.
- Commercial awareness & proficiency in MS Office.
- Structured work approach to achieve targets.
- Competitive, selfmotivated, and enthusiastic.
- Professional appearance and openness to new ideas.
- Attitude to try new ideas and formats
Highly Desirable:
- Degree in Building Services, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- HNC / HND in Building Related Studies, Business Studies, or equivalent
- Proven track record in performancebased sales
- Indepth technical knowledge of Smoke Control Systems
- Experience in Construction Industry and selling to key stakeholders
- Ability to interpret contract documentation & construction drawings
