The prime role of Wills and Probate Paralegal is to provide support to Clients and all members of the Property teams of Firm.

This will include but will not be limited to the main responsibilities given below. The Wills Paralegal is expected to use a high degreeof self-management and initiative.


Key tasks:


  • Attend clients both in person and on the telephone to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm's standards of client care
  • Arranging client appointments
  • Open files both physically and electronically
  • Maintain spreadsheets and databases
  • Obtain searches
  • Obtain Identification documents from clients
  • Preparation of contract packs
  • Liaison with estate agents and solicitors
  • General filing
  • Photocopying
  • Database input
  • Creation and despatch of documents and forms
  • Create completion statements
  • Preparation of invoices
  • Raise enquiries as instructed
  • Undertake file closing duties
  • Completion of HMRC, Tax and Probate Forms
  • Completion of schedules, including income, assets and liabilities
  • Completion of distribution schedules as appropriate
  • Liaison with charities, executors, beneficiaries
  • Maintenance of Wills bank
  • Drafting of Wills as instructed and directed.
  • Undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards selfdevelopment.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all the Firm's and the clients' documentation and information.
  • Cover switchboard and reception as and when required.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the position
