Senior Overpayments Recovery Officer:

Role Purpose
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen within the Revenue & Benefits Services Department (Overpayments of Housing Benefit).

You will lead a team responsible for providing a comprehensive recovery service delivering effective and efficient recovery of overpaid housing benefit.

You will supervise the Benefits Overpayments Recovery Team and ensure that all recovery action is dealt with accurately, efficiently and promptly, in order to maximise income.

Key Responsibilities
You will have experience of Benefit Overpayments recovery procedures and processes. You will also have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Housing Benefit legislation, regulations and working practices.

Excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills will be needed to help you to manage your busy and varied workload.

You will have excellent IT skills and experience of the Northgate (NEC) system is desirable.
