Introduction to Generate _

  • Generate has been creating opportunities and offering support to people with a learning disability since 1972. We are committed to improving the lives of people with a learning disability by supporting and encouraging them in a creative way to access opportunities in their communities, take their place as citizens and reduce their reliance on services. _
  • In addition to our youth and community services targeted at people with a learning disability, we also provide an Access to Work service. We work on delivering onetoone employment support workers and Job Coaching staff across London to individuals with a range of disabilities. _
  • It is funded for inwork support through the Department of Work and Pensions' Access to Work Programme, although there is scope for this service to expand into other areas of supported employment. It is the largest provider of the programme within London with a wide breadth of scope in terms of location and range of disabilities supported. _

Main Purpose of the Job _

  • To support the Client in their role as a CEO and assist with tasks that enables the Client to maintain and grow their business _

Detailed Responsibilities and Duties _

  • Supporting the Client in implementing strategies that provide clarity in tasks and improve _efficiency
  • Work in collaboration with the Clients Executive Assistant (EA) in order to manage calendar and prioritise tasks
  • Hold regular checkins with the Client to prioritise tasks for the day
  • Support the Client to use technology and software e.g. Dragon, Grammarly
  • Support the Client to review documentation e.g. reports, quotes, proposals
  • Take comprehensive minutes during all meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions, decisions, and action items and share with the EA for coordination of actions.
  • Attend training and guest speaker events to support with the setup of workshops and guest speaker engagements, ensuring the Client has all the necessary equipment and resources for the event.
  • Providing inperson support to the Client, serving as a "body double" to enhance focus and productivity.

Essential/Desirable Criteria _
- _Excellent communication skills (written and oral) demonstrating an ability to deal with a wide range of people with varying levels of understanding and experience

  • Flexibility to work and respond quickly to requests for assistance _
  • Undertaking work as directed by the client, and facilitating the completion of their work duties. _

General Responsibilities_

  • To be an active member of the Generate staff team. _
  • To comply with all relevant, Generate policies, procedures and guidelines, including but not limited to Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, Children &Vulnerable Adults, and Confidentiality of Information. _
  • To represent Generate positively in a variety of situations and respond professionally to general enquiries. _
  • Although normal office/ retail/ hospitality sector hours will apply, the post holder must be flexible in his/her hours to meet the needs of Generate. _
  • Keep records and report on outcomes of your work. _
  • Keep up to date with current issues and good practice in the field of the Access to Work programme. _
  • Engage with support offered by colleagues and undertake training as required. _
  • Undertake any other reasonable task relevant to the work of the organisation that may be requested by the management team. _
