Are you an accomplished Executive Assistant seeking a permanent, hybrid role with enhanced benefits? Do you have experience supporting senior management in an academic environment? Signature Recruitment is partnered with a London university in search of an Executive Assistant.

This fantastic permanent opportunity supports the work of the Senior Office and offers a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 at home.

Additionally, there is the benefit of a generous holiday allowance of 38 days including bank holidays. Salary up to £50k.


The role of Executive Assistant is to provide an effective and confidential executive service across a wide portfolio of responsibility.

You'll provide extensive business support and diary management, and work collaboratively to ensure the functions of the Senior Leadership Office are delivered to the highest quality.

You'll be the first line of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, managing sensitive communications with discretion and professionalism.

Your responsibilities will extend to producing documents, briefings, and presentations, and coordinating essential HR and finance processes. You'll plan and execute events and organise high-profile visits by senior external stakeholders.

Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills will ensure seamless liaisons with colleagues across the broader Senior Executive, Faculties and Directorates throughout the university.


Executive Assistant Key Responsibilities:


  • Offer highlevel, collaborative executive support to the Senior Team, managing inbox and diary, and coordinating complex travel arrangements.
  • Produce documents, presentations, and briefings by sourcing and interpreting information from a range of stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for both internal and external visitors, ensuring professional and efficient communication and coordination.
  • Facilitate executive committee operations, including minutetaking, action tracking, and managing logístical arrangements for meetings.
  • Organise and execute internal events, workshops, away days, and highprofile visits.
  • Support key HR processes such as performance reviews, and assist with finance operations including expense processing and purchase order creation.
  • Ensure effective financial management within the department, contributing to budget planning, expense tracking, and adherence to policies and regulations.

Executive Assistant Key Skills:


  • Proven experience supporting highlevel senior executives, with adequate higher education experience to comprehend its unique environment and terminology.
  • A keen eye for detail, with mastery of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach, with an agility to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment.
