Venn Group is currently recruiting for a HR Manager for a Public Sector Organisation based in Birmingham.

This is a temporary contract for 2-3 months initially, offering an hourly rate of £23.57 PAYE inclusive of Holiday Pay.

This role will be hybrid working with 3 days on site and 2 days working from home. Some travel may be required between sites across Birmingham.


Duties:

Provide HR support/ advice to managers and staff across the organisation in respect of all disciplinary incl. MHPS, grievance, dignity at work investigations and sickness cases at Stage 2 and beyond
Ensure the provision of expert specialist advice to all managers within the organisation regarding all aspects of employment policy and procedure for all categories of staff, as well as associated post-employment issues
Support the achievement of the organisation's key performance indicators which relate to case work including sickness absence
Be the HR lead for the coordination and provision of all workforce information reports both internal and external
Interpret, analyse and provide expert advice to managers, including employment matters with particular regard to effective and timely resolution of discipline, grievance, sickness and harassment casework including up to suspension, dismissal andEmployment Tribunal level, often involving highly complex,contentious and highly sensitive issues requiring tact and diplomacy
Liaise with line managers in respect of disciplinary and grievance matters to ensure that cases are undertaken quickly and in line with policy and best practice
Ensure that a positive approach to employee relations and an ethos of 'working in partnership' is developed in all departments by providing appropriate training for managers on partnership working, engaging Staff side at the appropriate stages ofany process and ensuring clear lines of communication at all times

Advise and support managers in handling disciplinary cases and resolution of grievances including participation in the investigation of cases as required.

To participate in hearing or presenting cases at all stages of the procedure
Participate in the design and delivery of training to HR staff and other managers in specialist areas of HR practice such as investigation skills and sickness management
