Job Summary:


We're looking for an exceptional Purchasing Assistant to join our fast-growing team at Cazoo, helping to transform the way people buy used cars and making buying a car no different to buying any other product online today.

The role involves supporting the purchasing and pricing teams and the pre and post-purchase process by performing administrative tasks.

You will also be required to coordinate across a number of internal teams, helping resolve queries and prepare reports for a number of key stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:


  • Supporting the purchasing team leaders and purchasing specialists on a number of administrative tasks.
  • Supporting the postpurchase process to ensure all documentation and key vehicle information is received (such as invoices etc) and processed internally.
  • Managing provenance checks for vehicles and coordination with relevant suppliers and internal teams.
  • Obtaining evidence of vehicle service history for cars we purchased
  • Supporting other teams internally for any information required relating to historic purchases such as service history records.
  • Supporting the Operations team in ensuring each purchased vehicle has the required documentation to make successful claims
  • Ensuring our inventory is up to date and accurate daily.
  • Preparing internal reports to be sent daily to a variety of key stakeholders in the business.

Required skills and experience:


  • A willingness to learn and work with data
  • Team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Competent in using Excel, Looker, PowerPoint or similar services
  • Comfortable working at pace and to multiple deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to deal with ambiguity and manage your time
  • A starterfinisher with a willingness to show initiative
  • A thorough and methodical approach with great attention to detail
  • An ability to recognise opportunities and present solutions
  • Automotive experience would be beneficial though not essential
