Description
The Operator - GRP resin transfer mould matting will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the production of Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) fibreglass matting products.
The operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the consistent quality and timely production of these materials, which are integral to our product range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery and equipment used in the production of GRP fibreglass matting, following established guidelines and safety protocols.
- Monitor and adjust production processes to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Prepare raw materials for production, including cutting fibreglass rolls, measuring resins, and other necessary tasks.
- Set up and calibrate machinery before production runs, and perform routine maintenance to keep equipment in optimal working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues that may arise during production, escalating complex problems to the maintenance team when necessary.
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards before packaging and distribution.
- Collaborate with the production team to coordinate workflow and meet production targets efficiently.
- Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, raw material usage, and any relevant quality control data.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies at all times to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights and suggestions for optimizing production processes.
- Attend training sessions and workshops as required to enhance technical skills and stay updated on industry trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in fibreglass or composite materials.
- Familiarity with GRP fibreglass production processes, equipment, and materials is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
- Detailoriented mindset with a commitment to producing highquality work.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and manipulate materials and equipment as needed.
