One of our Primary Schools in Fazakerley is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work with a child in KS2 on a 1:1 basis.


As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for our students.

Working closely with the SEN department and teaching staff, you will provide targeted assistance to pupils who require additional support in managing their emotions.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized behaviour support plans for students, in collaboration with the SEN team and other professionals.
  • Delivering tailored interventions and strategies to help pupils regulate their emotions, promoting positive behavioural choices and fostering personal growth.
  • Providing oneonone support during challenging situations, helping students to deescalate and develop effective coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure consistency and continuity of support, sharing progress and implementing strategies both in the classroom and at home.
  • Supporting students in developing social skills, selfesteem, and resilience, empowering them to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.
  • Contributing to the overall positive ethos of the school, promoting inclusion, respect, and understanding among staff, students, and the wider community.
