Job Description Summary

Part of Lloyds Banking Group, Cardnet are a provider of merchant acquiring across the UK. We're a joint venture with Fiserv and support all merchants with their card acquiring needs.


Job Description:

Cardnet is a fantastic team within LBG with a meaningful part to play in Helping Britain Prosper. A Client Support Officer is required to join the Customer Service Team within the Client Delivery Team for Cardnet.


You'll be responsible for the day to day relationship of providing excellent customer service and operational support to our clients including a VIP Client, who expect a named point of contact.

The role involves being the 'go to' specialist for operational issues for not only the customer but also Cardnet.

You'll be responsible for supporting the implementation of new merchants to Cardnet and to support on operational changes to a VIP account.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop a strong working relationship with the VIP client and all other clients
  • Support on operational changes for a VIP account.
  • To support the successful implementation of multiple new merchant accounts to Cardnet.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all operational and processing areas of Fiserv (Cardnet's Joint Venture Partner) and Omnipay.
  • Work closely with Card & Industry teams to understand all processing regulations to ensure our merchants are compliant.
  • Identify solutions that fulfil client requirements and ensure optimum returns for the Business.
  • To anticipate, identify and manage risk in a timely manner for the benefit of both the client and LBG.
  • Provide a wide range of information and guidance to clients, resolving queries including those of a more complex/sensitive nature.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate with both internal and external personnel.

  • Selfmotivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to challenge status quo, with ultimate aim in ensuring Cardnet is the UK's leading acquirer.
