The Opportunity
In this role, you will be our expert, offering technical support for the safe and efficient project activities within the Eastern network.
What we ask of you
- Work with the Network Specialist to deliver a programme of technical coaching and upskilling into Customer Operations
- Deliver a programme of coaching and mentoring of technical competence into Customer Operations
- Supervise an effective and highly motivated and engaged regional workforce, driving performance management, delivering yearonyear cost efficiencies and improvements in productivity and resource utilisation whilst maintaining worldclass operational excellence,safety, and customer satisfaction
- Carry out repair and replacement workplace inspections to demonstrate compliance with the required standards/company procedures for dealing with Public Reported Escape and service/main laying activities
- Ensure individuals comply with policy and work procedures and achieve company standards of service throughout all activities
- Authorise and prepare permit requirements in accordance with Safe control of Operations procedures
- Manage sickness/absenteeism and lowlevel disciplinary procedures for direct reports, to ensure compliance with company policy
- Act as the public face of Cadent when responding to complaints and enquiries where required
- Be responsible for ensuring data recording and accuracy within the relevant network is appropriate and complete to support accurate management and regulatory reporting
- Monitor workforce operational performance to ensure all objectives are met and that problems are anticipated and resolved. Implement Performance Improvement Plans where required
- Be accountable for onsite incident supervision and investigation in adherence with EM72 and EM77 procedures in response to reports requiring escalation. i.e. Fire, Explosion, Loss of supply, Evacuation
- Share, promote and facilitate/implement technical and procedural best practice
- Ensure repair, connections and replacement works are in full compliance with NRSWA
Qualifications and Skills you'll bring
- SCO registered up to AE NRO MP essential, AE NRO IP desirableService and Main laying qualified with leakage and deep excavation experience essential
