Description
A Full DBS Check will need to be performed as you will be working within care homes with vulnerable adults.
Daily duties could include but may not be limited to minor repairs to doors, walls, showers, sinks, toilets, laying laminate and carpet, basic electrical work, basic carpentry work, basic plumbing work, painting, both interior and exterior and external courtyard and car park upkeep such as weeding or cleaning and gardening.
In the role you will be responsible for providing first contact for repairs as they occur including dealing with emergencies and/or escalating as required.
You will have a good understanding of how to leave jobs in a condition complying with full health and safety.
As such, we require someone with good communication skills and are able to interact in a positive and friendly manner with team members in an environment that supports vulnerable adults with varying needs.
You should have the ability to use your initiative as you will largely be working alone so an ability to manage your own time and workload efficiently is essential.
